With the world currently gripped in football fever, indie developer Bachey has taken advantage and released its latest sports game, Board Soccer. In the spirit of the 2022 World Cup, players will be able to pick from more than 50 countries to take to the pitch.

Designed to call back to the retro soccer games of youth, Board Soccer sees all your plastic players stuck in place by springs, moving the ball around by how forcefully you ping them. Beneath each player is a pit in the turf which draws the ball towards them, so you’ll need to take that into account when knocking the ball around.

Unique unit types and guardians

As you step into the game, you'll encounter more than 8 maps with dynamic elements that are key to your defence. You'll deploy warriors to keep invading enemies at bay across six tribes, and each one has its own unique playstyle. In particular, Heroes from the Human, Elf, Orc, Undead, Angel and Demon tribes will also have various weapons, armour and accessories you can equip to boost your combat power, with over 200 kinds of equipment to discover.

Of course, you will also have legendary gods (12 Guardians) that can support you during battles, each with its own set of mighty skills that can buff your warriors or wipe out enemies in a single blow.

Set in a haunted school dorm where players must stave off the attacks of a ghoulish Dream Hunter, Haunted Dorm is the nerve-wracking, horror-themed tower defence game from indie developer, Mihuan. Released on the app stores this February, Haunted Dorm has been gaining a steady following thanks to its original take on the tower defence genre, which departs from the standard button clicking mayhem we’re so used to, to deliver a more chilling experience.

Following the release of its cross-platform simulator, Bus Simulator City Ride, we took the opportunity to speak with astragon Entertainment’s PR & Marketing Manager, Yvonne Lukanowski, about its latest entry in the series and the reasons for the franchise's continued success. Here’s what we discussed..

First off, congratulations on the launch of Bus Simulator City Ride. Unless we're mistaken, this is now the 7th release in the series?

Thank you very much. Bus Simulator City Ride is the latest installment of the Bus Simulator series and the first for mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch, which really marks the beginning of a completely new journey. Since the very first game back in 2012 the series made big steps. After bringing the last Bus Simulator games on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, we are happy to now give an even broader audience the chance to dive into the world of a bus driver.

Wheelie King 4 is a stunt-driving motorbike game that has been around for a few years now, and is still going strong. A massive new update has been released recently, breathing some new life into an old classic.

In a lot of motorbike games, a slight collision with a car will gently bounce the bike away to continue riding, and skidding 50 feet down the road won’t do a thing, simply pick up the bike and off you go. Wheelie King 4 however takes a more realistic route; simply drifting too much will result in the back tyre blowing out.

Following its earlier release on iOS this year, The House of Da Vinci 3 has also officially launched on Android devices. Fans of S-GAME's action RPG Phantom Blade: Executioners can once again get their hands on the title with a Closed Beta Test from August 18th to September 16th. The "Serenade of Ruin" CBT will add a new chapter, a brand new character with two advanced career paths, microtransactions that will be fully refunded after the test and more.

Phantom Blade: Executioners' latest CBT titled "Serenade of Ruin" features cross-platform play between mobile and PC, and all player characters will be wiped afterwards. Transactions, however, will be fully refunded and a 100% gratitude bonus upon Open Beta.

Sign-ups for the second Closed Best Test have now officially begun for Phantom Blade: Executioners, S-Game's "kungfupunk" RPG on iOS and Android. The game boasts gorgeous visuals embellished with Chinese inspired artwork and a unique steampunk theme that complements its riveting narrative.

CBT2 for Phantom Blade: Executioners will begin on August 18th, with sign-ups open from now until August 11th. Only a limited number of players will be granted access to the second Closed Beta Test. CBT1 was a successful affair back in February, and this time, S-Game is treating testers with revamped stages, more story content, plus an extra character with ranged attacks and special buffs/healing skills.
