Capilano University

Capilano University

Capilano University (CapU) and Vancouver Institute of Media Arts (VanArts) have a pathway partnership that allows graduates of VanArts’ 12-month Acting for Film & Television diploma program to continue their education at CapU and graduate with additional credentials in Acting for Stage and Screen from CapU.

Acting for Stage and Screen is a three-year diploma program. This agreement allows VanArts graduates to apply up to 42.5 transfer credits and complete the CapU program in two years.

“This dual credential from two prominent acting programs opens doors to further opportunities, particularly for international students who wish to gain more experience in Canada.”
-Alan Phillips, President of VanArts

“CapU is pleased to partner with VanArts to increase post-secondary education opportunities in the arts for students in B.C.”
-Lee Ederer, supervisor, School of Performing Arts at Capilano University

This new pathway between CapU and VanArts coincides with the Province’s BC Restart plan and helps to train qualified individuals to play an active role in reinvigorating the arts industry for a post-pandemic world.

Current VanArts students considering this pathway should contact VanArts admissions department and VanArts alumni may contact CapU admissions for more information.
